I am a NYT bestselling developmental editor and ghost with 25 years in professional trade publishing. I specialize in food, true crime, health, wellness, business, and memoir. For the majority of my career, I was a publisher at a Big 5, prestige publishing house (Simon and Schuster, Workman). I am the force behind blockbusters such as Temple Grandin’s Animals in Translation, Geneen Roth’s Women Food and God, and Trisha Meilli’s I am the Central Park Jogger. I also created branded series, including Dr. Mark Hyman’s multi-million copy-selling Ultra series, beginning with Ultraprevention. I also brought Irma Rombauer’s iconic Joy of Cooking out of extinction for a whole new generation of readers and cooks before falling hard for digital publishing and founding a start-up digital publisher with literary agent Lisa Hagan.
I am a hands on editor, with a keen knowledge of the marketplace, and have a seasoned understanding of what makes a book connect with its audience and why. I love bringing authors into this process and watching them soar. As a former top publishing executive, I am uniquely helpful in creating proposals and platforms that speak directly to acquisitions editors, sell to trade publishers, and find their audience in the marketplace.
